International Commodity Trader — Frozen Fruits, Vegetables & Juices

About the Role

The core responsibility of this International Commodity Trader role is business development focused on the frozen fruits, vegetables, and juice concentrate category. Through building customer and vendor relationships, this position will work to expand Sure Good Foods' produce and ingredient trading volumes internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop customer and vendor relationships in the frozen produce and juice category
• Source IQF fruits, vegetables, concentrates, and purees from global suppliers
• Negotiate pricing and manage the full trade cycle
• Stay current on crop conditions, harvest forecasts, and seasonal pricing
• Ensure product quality and compliance with food safety standards
• Collaborate with logistics on cold-chain requirements and shipping

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in produce trading, food ingredients, or related field
• Knowledge of frozen fruit, vegetable, or juice concentrate markets
• Understanding of food safety standards (GFSI, HACCP, organic certification)
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Food Science, or related field

Nice to Have

• Experience sourcing from South America, Europe, or Asia-Pacific
• Knowledge of organic and specialty produce markets
• Familiarity with IQF processing and cold-chain logistics
